Post your Personal Summary of Ethnic Theatre in the USA linked to your Portfolio Page.

Ethnic Theatre has been drafted from a number of different cultures whether it be Chicano, African American, Native American, Asian etc. They all were created on foundations specific to showing the talents of each respective culture. Ethnic theater really took it's mark in society around the early 1900's. This form of theatre allowed people all across the world, including Americans to be able to experience many different languages, clothing, behaviors, and etc. from different cultures. Ultimately, this was a way in which people could be educated not just on different areas of the world but this platform was also created as a way to show awareness to certain issues their culture may be facing such as gender roles, racial problems and more. With the introduction and usage of ethnic theatre it has brought about a form of cultural appropriation too on the other hand, with the play Yellow Face being one of the more notable issues. All in all, ethnic theatre has been a saving grace to diversity and inclusion around the world and it's a great way of sowing what are sometime real world issues with a sense of entertainment at the same time to lighten the delivery.
